Official Denouncement of Ideagasms

I know this may come as a surprise, only 10 months ago I was all up on their philosophies, but as time went on, I feel they started slipping more and more into a real cult. Now, they really fell. Read little article on cults to get an idea…
Some of the things Steph is currently doing, including purging all non-ultra dedicated members, pressuring everyone to buying all of his products and participating in his community, and even calibration as a vague way of categorizing people as "less" or "more" as Stephane uses calibration as an end-all way to filter people... (in his own words here). If you don't know what I mean by "calibration" don't' worry. You don't need to know, big waste of time.
The thing is, he frames everything as being for good and truth, the best of everyone... but his "no to sympathy" deal sounds more like "yes to sociopath", no matter what Steph uses as an explanation. Actions speak louder, always. After meeting Steph, it's kind of hard to see him actually doing these things now. He seemed pretty cool when I met him, even though he stole like 5 bottles of wine from a restaurant (total impulse move… somehow I justified it as him being a wacky, party guy showing us his crazy… my bad. Lesson learned.)
Check out the attached thread Steph wrote... to me, that sounds like Steph is teaching his 1000's of students to be pricks to waiters and taxi drivers instead of being kind. In some of the replies, Steph's students seem to be trying hard to justify this post. The big kicker is if anyone else authored a thread like this, they'd probably be shunned for being closed hearted...

As for me, I bought all IG's products and he still cut me off. I think it's because I have been dabbing into other products lately and not hyping up IG. I noticed that most of Stephane's spiritual stuff is really just NLP tricks with spiritual wallpaper glued on. When I bought up the fact that a lot of it is really NLP techniques, he wanted to end our business relationship and soon after got banned from his forums. I wrote a comment on Thundercat's exposé of Stephane here (I am about 15 commends down).
I would not feel right endorsing any of IG's products now, except maybe the GTP. But even the GTP is a rehashed combination of DavidX's and David Deida's philosophy. If you do decide to get the GTP, I actually suggest directing specific questions to Alex from Innergamereframe.com. Alex is an Ex-IG coach who quit when Stephane started to really go downhill—to me, Alex represents the good stuff Steph used to teach.
As for Steph's other products, any decent chakra program can be found fairly cheaply at Borders and there are free mediations online and on youtube. Steve Piccus did a much more thorough Female Orgasm video. To top it off, Stephane even lost Ghita, the girl who pretty much made Stephane and Ideagasms to begin with. Stephane said in his GTP if Ghita left, he'd would "become a monk and just give up"—a.k.a., it means if Ghita leaves, Stephane's product is shit. She was the light behind it all.
So what did I get out of IG? For relationships, I think it definitely helped me understand women, at least how they like a strong, grounded man. I suppose I could have learned it all from DavidX, but again I didn't find anything too substantial from him. Also, Deida was a bit too spiritually advanced for me at the time—I didn't quite understand "Way of the Superior Man" I needed a few more baby steps. Steph was good for me as a young guy at that time. Moreover, I got to meet Stephane and see how he acted with Ghita and that was really great.
I am not saying Stephane is bad with women at all, I just feel he is leading students down the wrong path, especially now. I need to make clear I would not endorse Ideagasms to anyone. I really got very little out of Stephane's cold spirituality ideas, even though I tried pretty hard to make it work with my life. If only Stephane stuck with relationship mentoring and stopped his cultish dogma, IG would have been a great place.
So where do I go for relationship advice? Well besides first my close and trusted friends who know me personally and understand what things could and couldn't work for me, I would say David Deida or Authentic Man Program are the two best "guru" sources I know for more spiritual relationship advice. I may contact Alex from Innergamereframe also, especially for a GTP specific question.
By the way, because Stephane really let down lots of his other closest students, they started an Ex-Ideagasms forum to vent and expose him a bit more. You can get more inside scoops there.

I wanted to say the things you said about Steph for the longest time. The only time in I don't know how many months I've visited his forum to see what was going on was to read your post on Dave Riker's Language Course. Even on that thread there was a guy right after your post who was admonishing you for going to the dark side (promoting stuff that wasn't Steph's). Ideagasms used to be a good site, but I had a hard time buying the "fact" that he could get women without the social proof of having his bi lovers hanging off him. He always seemed to justify this by saying he was qualifying women.
Now Ideagasms is just a site for people who need to belong to a cult and to feel spiritually superior to everyone else, IMHO. However, I have to admit that I was addicted to that site for quite awhile.

So far the only thing I've learned in the seduction community, after all the years of looking in and scraping enough money together to buy some seduction products of dubious value, is that NLP stuff is the only stuff that's worth buying. And then you have to be careful whose product you're buying! And this is not to knock inner game stuff--it's just that inner game stuff probably isn't going to get you laid all on it's own. Nor am I knocking outer game either, but for straight up seduction, it seems like NLP is it. Inner and outer games' function is to increase your seductiveness through confidence. You need all three, but NLP seems to be the main ingredient.
I can't believe what an utter soap opera the seduction community is. Even the thread at Thundercat's site about Steph somehow degenerated into Ross Jeffries bickering about Thundercat being some kind of affiliate of his. I'm sure I'll be viewing that video soon--but, whatever (an eye rolling emoticon would be perfect right here).
For me, this fallout with Steph really hit home the fact that you shouldn't look to one guru for all your answers to seduction (or anything, for that matter). And if that guru insists he's the only one you need, then it's time to move on.

Wow, that's quite a post. Some serious weirdness on the fringes of the community.
The problem is guys coming into this generally don't have their shit together, so they're easy targets for manipulation. It's critical to keep your head about you on this stuff or you'll end up broke and off the deep end.
As far as the comment about NLP, yah, it works great if you use it on yourself to get in a great frame and challenge your beliefs. And the NLP/ self-hypnosis stuff like Hypnotica is very compatible with things like AMP and any decent "outer game" material you find. If used appropriately, it can accelerate the whole process.

You too? I like you, Bigsend, and I'm not going to argue all that much about your view, but if you read through your post with a clear mind you will find that you're distorting the facts quite a bit. When accusing someone of manipulation, it is a good idea to present the facts unmanipulated. Just like it's a bad idea to shut down your entire forum when trying to start a cult.
And Bigsend, I understand that you're angry with Stephane, but since you seem to like David Deida a lot, I'm going to recommend his book "Wild Nights" if you want to understand Steph a bit more. Especially the chapter "Big Waves".

Thanks for sharing your views. At the time of my writing that, Steph was still going on strong with his forums, performing his "Noah's Arc."
But for me, it goes deeper than this. I started to realize that the techniques and ideas Steph used to help guys just weren't working for me and many others...
Then I started looking at Steph very objectively. I really took a serious look at how all the major IG couples seemed to break up. AmyJo and Brandon for example. Steph even took AmyJo and, if it weren't meant to be why did it end in like 3 weeks? He took her all the way to Montreal and seemed to kick her out on the street so she could be a hooker (as Steph put it, though AmyJo claims to have left Steph on her accord. either way, this girl went from a nice home to the streets of Montreal...)
It seemed like Steph would justify every "close-hearted" thing he has ever done as being for the best good while any one else's deeds were considered horrible and "below 200" if they weren't somehow aligned with IG. Add that up and a bunch of other things and I feel a cult was forming. I think the combination of Steph's business falling apart (apparently? though I doubt it is since he makes bank), and Thundercat expose, and then bloggers like myself bringing this to light could have contributed to the end of his public cult like behavior.
Anyway, as I said in the post and in many other places I did get a lot out of IG back when Steph taught more solid stuff. So, even if someone were to get GTP, they wouldn't be able to reach Steph since 1) he's retiring his boards and 2) he even discounts the GTP as all "3rd chakra" and no love. Or something like that. Steph doesn't even believe in training anymore.
So I hope no one becomes an IG follower who is also a reader of my blog. Thats all. I'm glad Steph still is helping you, but I think he let down a lot of people, including Ghita.

Have I learned anything from IG? oh yes. Steph was the first one to learn me that unconditional love and pickup could be done together. Heck, he was the first I ever found to speak so openly about love. And it was necessary that time. He also have great insight in relatinships. Had lots of benefits of his knowledge in that area.
Does Steph also say lots of sh!t? ooh yes, but it's all about being your own guru, right? Don't care about that crap and learn the stuff you need. I needed it. Calibration?

Yo man, yeah I definitely did get a lot out of IG when Steph really focused on coming from love and at the same time gave you great, specific advice on how to deal with stuff.
Now it feels like its all fluff. I think he realized he could tell guys vague religious shit like "fuck your woman to god" and everyone would equally understand it.
So... thats why I feel I got to denounce IG. I'd feel wrong if I referred people to him now that he stopped giving his solid shit.
Hopefully he wakes up and comes back one day. I'm sure me and him would need a long chat and reconcile our differences, he did ban me from IG, along with many others for almost no reason other than "not calibrating high enough".... so whatever. -Late!
